Fluidra builds on competition pool success
Fluidra is adding to its stable of competition facility builds, with a contract to supply three pools for the Aquatic Arena in Sentani, located in the Indonesian province of Papua. The venue will host aquatic events during National Sports Week in 2020, a national multi-discipline tournament held every four years. The project includes design and installation of an Olympic swimming pool, water polo pool fitted with an automatic bulkhead unit and an Olympic diving pool, all featuring Skypool panels.
Skypool is AstralPool’s range of prefabricated panels that can be adapted to fit existing and new infrastructures. Galvanized in zinc, the panels are are protected against rusting, safe and long-lasting.
All pools are to be constructed in line with stringent FINA (Fédération internationale de natation) requirements, including the warm-up pool and spa. The pools will utilise Praga filters and KIVU pumps and will incorporate UV disinfection technology.
This is the latest high-profile commercial pool project to be awarded to Fluidra in Indonesia. Skypool panels were also used for the construction of four pools used in the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta and an Olympic swimming pool at the Aceh Aquatic Centre located in Jantho, Aceh.
