Delegates at the Building Maintenance and Management Conference will learn about energy-saving solutions for local government energy expenditure and CO2 emissions, as Evo Energy Technologies’ business development manager Owen Ryan delivers a presentation on the topic.

As aquatic centres and swimming pools typically account for 10 to 50% of a council’s greenhouse gas profile - not to mention hundreds of thousands of dollars in energy costs - the presentation will be of interest to delegates involved in local government.

Evo Energy Technologies aims to provide reliable, decentralised power generation solutions that are low emission, commercially viable and environmentally sound.

The company recently installed a 76 kWe cogeneration unit and 300 kW groundwater source heat pump at the City of Fremantle’s Fremantle Leisure facility. The council expects to save $100,000 per annum in operating costs, while reducing CO2 emissions by 250 tonnes and reducing its total district greenhouse gas profile by 5%.

The Building Maintenance and Management Conference will be held on 11 and 12 November at Rydges World Square in Sydney. For more information, click here.
