APSP — a new focus on commercial

The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) in the US has announced the formation of its new Commercial Council, a group comprising industry representatives eager to tackle key issues, risks and opportunities facing the design, construction, operation and servicing of commercial pools and spas.

The council will provide a platform for pool and spa professionals who are dedicated to volunteering their time, talents and energy to advancing the needs of the commercial pool and spa segment.

“As APSP sharpens our focus on advancing the industry and its interest, we look forward to strengthening the commercial pool and spa industry segment.

“The creation of this council helps us keep moving the industry forward,” said APSP President & CEO Lawrence Caniglia.

The eight-member council is made up of representatives from a variety of pool and spa industry segments who will serve one-year terms. The inaugural meeting is due in May in Denver, when the aim is to lay the foundation for the group to identify important issues and create a plan of action and timeline. The formation of APSP’s Commercial Council will include forming several task forces to assist the council on hot topic issues.
