Universal Magazines Moves Pool+Spa Across to B2B Specialist Arm
Universal Magazines (UM) announced today that it is moving Pool+Spa magazine and sister website www.PoolandSpaReview.com.au across to its specialist B2B publishing arm, Westwick-Farrow Media (WFM).
Current Pool+Spa editor, Rebecca Brennan will remain at the helm, with the coming July/August edition to be the first produced by WFM. With over 30 years as a leader in Australian B2B technology & industrial magazine and online media, WFM was purchased by UM in August 2011, around the same time it purchased Pool+Spa.
"The plan was always to move Pool+Spa across to WFM once our new B2B business was settled in at Universal" UM publisher, Janice Williams commented. "Their expertise in specialist trade media, especially in the area of new products and technology, will be a great boost for the Pool+Spa brand" she added.
Pool+Spa will continue to support and promote the key SPASA chapters, and the new Alliance. The WFM team will work closely with key UM staff involved on Poolside and Outdoor Design Source to deliver a strong, unified platform for industry promotion.
WFM publisher, Geoff Hird said they will focus on growing the digital side of the brand and increasing coverage of new products. "We are excited to have Pool+Spa join our 10 other industry media channels, and will initially focus on launching an eMag version and a new eNewsletter service."
Hird, who is also chairman of industry body, Publishers Australia, added "We are committed to increasing the coverage of new products and technology in Pool+Spa, which has been the secret ingredient in our other brands for over 30 years".
Editor, Rebecca Brennan will be joined by Associate Publisher, Glenn Silburn and Account Manager, Hayley Stanton as the key team members on Pool+Spa at WFM. A new editorial calendar and media kit will be available shortly.
