Statewide swimming pool audit for South Australia

Wednesday, 15 November, 2017

The Australian Leisure Facilities Association says that Recreation SA is currently carrying out a statewide swimming pool audit focused on public facilities, thanks to funding secured via the ORS Community Recreation and Sport Facilities program.

The audit follows on from similar initiatives in 1997 and 2007 and aims to ensure accurate data on the current number, quality and infrastructure of existing aquatic centres across the state. This information will be used by ORS, Recreation SA and allied bodies to determine strategic outcomes and develop a master plan for the future of the aquatics industry in South Australia.

The audit should be completed by December 2017.
