The Minister for Housing and Public Works, Tim Mander MP, has appointed SPASA Qld past president Rodney Webb to the position of chairman of the Queensland Pool Safety Council.

The appointment, which was announced earlier this month, will commence on 3 September 2013 for a term of 12 months ending on 12 September 2014.

In welcoming Webb to the role, the minister said, “The PSC plays an important role in ensuring pool safety inspectors are appropriately trained and licensed.”

Webb, an inaugural member of the Pool Safety Council, is also a licensed pool safety inspector.  He was SPASA Qld president from 2001 to 2013 and maintains an active role as past president on the Governing Council and chairman for both the association’s PSI Sector Group and Membership SubCommittee as well as playing an active role in the Technical Group.
