SPASA a finalist in Association of the Year
After facilitating a busy awards season for the pool and spa industry, SPASA Australia is now basking in its own glory, having been shortlisted as an ‘Association of the Year’ finalist.
The award is presented to the association that has distinguished itself by achieving all-round excellence, as judged by Associations Forum, a body committed to assisting associations and charities in governance, operations, membership and finances.
“Recognition as a finalist comes after SPASA’s 2017 move to unify the industry alongside our strength in advocating and education, whilst delivering valuable member benefits as well as prudent association management,” SPASA CEO Lindsay McGrath said.
“Because of our guardianship and the support from our highly loyal membership, SPASA has been able to steer the swimming pool and spa industry to grow, create jobs and operate more efficiently and sustainably.
“Being named as an Association of the Year finalist is a great tribute to the entire SPASA team, board and the many individuals who, over many years, have worked tirelessly to ensure that SPASA is the national voice of the industry,” he said.
The 2018 finalists:
- Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Australia
- Australian Airports Association
- Complementary Medicines Australia
- Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia - NSW Division
- Master Builders Queensland
More help is on its way for NSW farmers, as Daisy Pool Covers has pledged up to $5000.

The SPASA leadership convention will be held at the Hilton Hotel Adelaide on Friday, 2 August 2019.
