NSW pool and spa barriers workshop
New South Wales readers, this one is for you.
Are you across the compliance requirements and legal obligations for pool fencing in NSW? SPASA has developed a three-hour workshop designed to provide attendees with an appreciation of the Australian standards that guides safety barriers for pools and spas. The interactive workshop offers participants a better understanding of pool barrier compliance and the standard(s) for both new and existing swimming pools and spas, as well as the implications of non-compliance.
Learning outcomes include a clear knowledge of the following:
- Pool barrier components
- Pool barrier heights
- Internal and external barriers
- Non-climbable zones
- Projections and indentations
- Gates and latches
- Testing required under the standards
The workshop is on Thursday, 5 July from 9 am to 12 noon at the SPASA office at 1/33 Daking St, North Parramatta. Anyone can attend, but you will need to register in advance. Visit the SPASA website for more information and to register using this link. Pricing is $150 for SPASA members and $175 for non-members .
