Laurie develops online swim training resource

One-man water safety powerhouse Laurie Lawrence has done it again, developing the World Wide Swim School (WWSS) — an online swimming training resource for parents, coaches, teachers and swim schools.

WWSS aims to educate kids, parents and the swimming industry on safe water practices and to improve swimming standards on an international scale.

The platform contains interactive training modules and other educational resources:

  • The Parent Swimming Library provides step-by-step video resources on everything parents need to know by the time their child is four years old.
  • The Junior Coaching Academy provides training content and all the up-to-date tools required to become a world-class junior coach.
  • The Professional Development Academy provides access to comprehensive swimming training modules needed for professional development points towards re-accreditation.
  • The Swim School Hub demonstrates a swim school’s commitment to continual professional development, whilst meeting all industry compliance requirements.

There is a tonne of information on the website: everything from how to stop a baby crying at the pool through to submersion techniques and even how to build your own in-house training program.
