Driving for Variety
Prince and co-driver Marshall Tilby of Totally Workwear have taken part in the event for four years. The demanding race involved some tough driving, taking participants along the Great Central Road to the Gun Barrel Highway, around Uluru and then through Finke Gorge in the Northern Territory — wrapping things up at Kings Canyon. Then it was homeward bound.
Prince and Tilby raised over $13,000 for the charity this year and are already looking forward to next year's event.
"The reason we support Variety is because there are so many disabled and disadvantaged children that are underfunded. With Variety, we not only get to participate in great events with like-minded people, we also get to see where the fundraising dollars go," Prince said.
