Bega Valley Shire Council will soon invite tenders for its five outdoor pools. The council has indicated it will open tenders for its pools in Eden, Bega, Bemboka, Candelo and Cobargo in mid-April.

The tender process will allow prospective operators to tender to provide services for the pools. Prospective operators will also have the opportunity to tender for all three management tasks or each task individually.

The three management tasks are:

  • Operations — maintenance and operations of the pool plant, equipment and site.
  • Supervision — lifeguarding, entry attendance and water quality testing.
  • In-water programs — learn-to-swim programs, squad programs, aqua aerobics.

The tender will be open for approximately three weeks. A pre-tender meeting will be held during the tender period, as well as an online forum for prospective operators to ask questions and receive clarifications.

The tender will be publicly tendered through council’s online tender portal: www.tenderlink.com/begavalley.
